Since its creation in 1996, our company has been serving the industry and commerce with quality e thoroughness in the Electronics market, in Portugal.

Years before, the founder of the company, Mr. Joaquim Ferreira de Castro, starts his business in the Electronics market through repairs and sales of small accessories of electronics, followed by the sales and building of home appliances.
During the 90, the market changed and, with this change, the big chain companies start to emerge and, consequently, the smaller retailers start selling everyday less than before. Joaquim Castro foresees this change affecting his business and decides to change its strategy and starts looking for the right partners who would help him creating the first Electronics dedicated company in Santa Maria da Feira and one of the first in Portugal.

This was the beginning of a company with familiar and entrepreneur’s origins of which, from their humble origins, made Castro Electrónica the biggest company in the sale and distributing of electronic products in Portugal.

The major turning point happened when Joaquim Castro’s son, Filipe Castro, joined the company in 2011. With his entrance, the company would come to a change: first, with the introduction of an online sales system and, later on, with the addition of new products ranges.

We distinguish ourselves by the difference and thoroughness, the dynamism and capability to satisfy your needs. These values helped us to grow quickly but well settled in our values. These values allowed us to grow 1000% in the past 10 years.

Today, we are more than a company, we are a family, a group of 50 people which, together, allow the best of Electronics at the best price.

The year 2017 was a great year for us, a year full of positive factors that have made us even more leaders. With the work comes the recognition and to prove our merit, we were awarded the PME Excellence 2017 diploma and we also obtained the PME Excellence Award More Growth Merit 2017, which distinguishes the five companies with the highest growth in Portugal. This is a journey achieved in a team and that contributed a lot to your confidence, so thank you.
