The MOBILITY DOCK fully fulfills the function of a mobile charging station, but requires much less space in the trunk and can be stored in the glove compartment or in the side storages of the vehicle´s doors to save space.
Communication between the MOBILITY DOCK and the vehicle takes place via a control device integrated into the charger, which sets the charging current up to a maximum of 10A and also monitors the charging process. A charging capacity of up to a maximum of 2.3 kW is thus achieved and the adjustment is made automatically. The device monitors the temperature of the device and the temperature at the household outlet. If an increase in temperature is detected at the power plug, the charger automatically regulates the charging power to prevent overheating. As additional protection for the user, a monitoring of the grounding conductor is included, as well as the detection of DC and AC faults in the charger. Such DC and AC errors are detected and protected up to 6mA DC and 30mA AC.
To start the charging process, the type 2 charging cable is connected to the type 2 socket on the MOBILITY DOCK. Then the MOBILITY DOCK is plugged into the household outlet with the charging cable connected and that´s it. An LED indicates device status. All components are absolutely stable and firmly anchored. A support is integrated on the side of the device to support it against the wall of the building, which is unlocked by pressing a button. This is used to fit the bracket to the building wall. The attached Mode 3 charging cable is locked by a mechanism in the housing and can be unlocked using the unlocking lever on the back. The Mode 3 Charging Cable can be taken out of the charger again with little effort. The MOBILITY DOCK housing is protected against water jets (IP44) and designed to be dropped from any position from a height of 1m. With a weight of approximately 750g and a size of 255x135x105 mm, the MOBILITY DOCK is optimized in terms of space and weight.
FEATURES:
- The LAPP charger for simple, mobile charging via standard sockets (EEC 7/3 safety socket, type E/F) is ideal for travel or in the garage at home.
- The space-saving Mode 3 cable charging station can be easily stored in the trunk thanks to its compact 255mm x 135mm x 105mm design.
- The EV emergency charger is oil-resistant and supports a charging power of up to 2.3 kW at a nominal voltage of 230 V, operating temperature from -25 °C to +45 °C
- The integrated lever unlocks the connected Type 2 cable after the charging process with just one simple movement.
- Collapsible torque bracket for mounting against the wall reduces the weight of the base and cable in the connected outlet.
- The charger is equipped with LED status indicator
- The EV charger is particularly safe thanks to overcurrent and overvoltage protection, as well as temperature monitoring in the main plug and in the in-line control box (ICCB)
